I wonder if any of you came up with an effective gizmo that deters woodpeckers from cedar siding of a house, in my case a tall chimney.
I've tried shiny streamers that were effective till they were thorn away
by the first wind storm and I am now too old to climb ladders to replace
them after every storm. I also tried a fake owl near the chimney, but
that didn't fool those peckers for very long. I've seen some electronic gizmos online, but I'd like to hear from somebody who has actually tried
them and was satisfied with the result.
