I am stumble across 2 interesting articles about someone download ubuntu

_Comcast Subscriber Receives DMCA Notice for Downloading Ubuntu_

I though they're forgot to check before send a notification to the ISP.

But after read the second article

_OpSec Says DMCA Notice System Was “Spoofed” To Target Ubuntu Download_

    <https://torrentfreak.com/opsec-says-dmca-notice-system-was-spoofed-to-target-ubuntu-download-210527/>

I got more confused, since I though the system cannot be spoofed and it should be a certain verification before the notification is approved and
    send to the costumer.

Anyway I hope there will be more news about this matter, since it will interesting to know how the company and ISP can get away with it.

Will they just say, it was a mistake and the problem is solve, or will
it uncover more information about the problems within DMCA notice system.

Them claiming it's spoofed makes zero sense. They must have made a
stupid mistake and just said that to cover it up. I'm sure they can't
actually pursue any legal action at all since they can't even name what copyright is being infringed upon, so in that case if I where the user
I'd just ignore the warning and continue on.

    Reading this article: https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2021/05/fake-dmca-takedown-notice-targeted-ubuntu-downloaders-yesterday/

It looks the DMCA notice screenshot could have possibly been faked. The
article also points out it could have been an attempt to deanonymize
    that person too.

It doesn't look like there's any new news on it yet, I suspect nothing
    else came out about it.
