First a question about bittorent. I've used it intermittently to
download TV shows I forget to record and for a few movies I wanted. It
seems like about once every 2 years my ISP forwards me a notice that
I've been fingered for violating the Dig Mill Copyright act. Is there
a strategy for using bittorrentt that would minimize my chances of
then fingering my downloads, or perhaps it's my uploads? Maybe that's
part of the question, do the "Find me" because I'm downloading Gone
With The Wind or do they find me because I let bittorent keep running
and other people are downloading from my copy?
Second question. Before bittorent I used to find stuff using eMule
and a couple of other programs like that. That must have been 5 or
more years ago. Is any of that stuff still active and if so what's
the current "best program" for that kind of peer to peer file sharing?
Is the eMule type sharing better, worse, or about the same as
bittorrent as far as chances of getting caught in the net of the
"millennial act"??
