Hi! We’re Melody and April from Paleotronic Magazine, and we’re just dropping you a line to let you know about our Kickstarter launch to fund our first full issue.

Paleotronic is a new retro-technology magazine that looks at electronics history with a modern eye, celebrating nostalgia for vintage hardware and software such as computers and videogames while also providing educational opportunities including learning
how to code in classic computing languages such as BASIC and LOGO, and building simple electronics projects. We aim to publish it every two months, and we ship world-wide.

Our companion microM8 emulation platform allows users to “upcycle” 8-bit games with 3D features, custom color schemes, backdrops, overlays and more, and will soon feature a fantasy console mode with an enhanced command set and a built-in 1980s-style
on-line service, for creation and collaboration. It currently supports the Apple IIe, and in the near future will support other platforms such as the Commodore 64, Atari 800XL and BBC Micro.
