Here's wishin' all of you guys a very Merry Christmas and
    a Happy New Year!

Of course, these good wishes are also directed at those
of you who do not celebrate Christmas such as: Muslims,

filthy IIR filter designers, Shinto, Bolsheviks, Democrats,
U.S. senator Mitch McConnell, Neo-Pagans, transsexual lesbians,
    Government Employees, Devil worshippers, Scientologists,
Control System engineers, people from the U.S. state of Ohio,
    Australians, and Rastafarians.

We Areligionists (AKA Atheists by the Religionists) do celebrate
Christmas and the Christian churches are entirely to blame for this
because for centuries, millenia even, our ancestors were subject
to very cruel deaths if we did not conform (and in Brit the
Recusancy Acts were not repealed until 1888) so it is in our
traditions to celebrate at Christmas even when we knew all
religion to be infantile make-believe, a veritable bucket of
    cowshit.

Richard Dawkins coined the word, "meme" for mental traditions
    that perpetuate through the generations.

Hey, we Australians celebrate Christmas, even if singing about snow and white Christmas doesn't make a lot of sense here right now. Many are too busy trying to put out bushfires this year instead of celebrating.

Have a Good One. And don't get caught!

Hi Fred. I added Australians to my list just to poke fun at my Australian DSP pal Peter Kootsookos (who used to frequent comp.dsp regularly). Good luck fightin' the bushfires. (Your bushfires have been reported on in the television news here in the
    States recently.)

My words "When it comes to religion I'll mark you down as Undecided." were a feeble attempt to add a bit of humor to this thread.

Ha! Engineering used to be a honorable professions. But the railroads aren't what they used to be. :-)

Glad to see a little bit of activity here on comp.dsp. I don't know where everybody went, but it's been awfully quiet here lately.
