• I'm looking for speech-to-text software [telecom]

From Moderator@21:1/5 to All on Mon Sep 27 10:20:14 2021
Folks, I'm typing one-handed, and it's not very efficient.

If you have used any speech-to-text software, please send in a post
about it: th brand name, the pros, the cons.

    Thank you.

Apple products include a fairly decent speech to text capability. I
dictated the sentences using it on my iPad and as of now I do not see
    any mistakes.

    ***** Moderator's Note *****

This message is from a well-known digest contributor, and because I
value his posts and respect him, I've removed his ID details in order
to make a point about "Quoted-Printable" email encoding without (I
    hope) embarrassing him.

I know that you are probably unaware if your email client - Outhouse, Thunderbyrd, whatever - uses Quoted-Printable encoding. Please take
the time to find out, and to disable it, when you are sending a post
to the Telecom Digest. *Please* don't send your posts from an email
    client that employs "Quoted-Printable" encoding!

Please! Q-P emails have to be decoded by hand, and I'm typing and
working and eating and doing everything else one-handed right now. I
need your help to keep the Digest going!

(Some QP remnants were changed to assure visability if your email
    client tolerates QP input)
