T-Mobile announced on Wednesday that it is fully compliant with the
FCC's new anti-spoofing protocol, telling the FCC that its now
certifying that calls from its network are protected against
impersonation by scam callers using the STIR/SHAKEN protocol.

    Does this do much good?

"Does it do much good?" That's a good question. The STIR/SHAKEN name
of this miracle cure is an obvious reference to Ian Fleming's mythical
superspy James Bond, who ordered his martinis "Shaken and not
stirred," and for that reason I suspect that the Friendly Candy
Company knows it's only a theoretical solution that either doesn't
work at all, or which can be easily bypassed.

    Time will tell.
