• Msp external commands

clear, Lockout of protection, Forced switch, manual switch and so on are external commands of MSP.
please consider this scenario: a user enters an external command like manual switch on protection but there is SF on protection. in this case, according to MS and SF hierarchy, MS will be rejected. my question is when an external command is rejected like
this situation It remains and after clearing SF, Ms must be done and without entering the clear command it won't be deleted or after rejecting an external command it will be removed.
In standard is not mentioned directly about this problem.

I will appreciate if someone helps me.
    Best regards,
    Elnaz

    Hello Elnaz,

    You ask:

clear, Lockout of protection, Forced switch, manual switch
and so on are external commands of MSP.

    Indeed.

please consider this scenario: a user enters an external
command like manual switch on protection but there is SF
on protection. in this case, according to MS and SF hierarchy,
    MS will be rejected.

Indeed the SF has a higher switching priority.
Normally a staff member should check the protection status
    before issuing an external command.
Or, even better, the management system should give a warning.

my question is when an external command > is rejected like this situation It remains and after clearing SF,
MS must be done and without entering the clear command it
won't be deleted or after rejecting an external command it
    will be removed.

Indeed the staff member has to clear the external switch command.

In standard is not mentioned directly about this problem.

Accoording to the standard after clearing of any command the
APS function has to re-evaluate all existing commands and act
    according to the priority list.
In the above case the MS will become active after the wait to
    restore timer expires.

I will appreciate if someone helps me.

    I hope I did.

    Regards, Huub.
