• Connection and point-to-multipoint in a CO network

From arstpt.michelh@gmail.com@21:1/5 to All on Wed Aug 24 06:05:34 2016
    Bonjour Huub,

It's not really the same question than the previous one.

We can read in G.805: "connection: A "transport entity" which consists of an associated pair of "unidirectional connections"".

I would be sure that, in a CO network, the point-to-multipoint path represents a unidirectional connection, and not strictly a connection (i.e. an associated pair of unidirectional connections.

    Thanks for your words,
    cordialement,
    Michel

    OK.

Indeed, more specific this is a "network connection".

I would be sure that, in a CO network, the point-to-multipoint path represents a unidirectional connection, and not strictly a connection
(i.e. an associated pair of unidirectional connections.

Correct, it is also referred to as "broadcast connection" which
    also indicates the uni-directional aspect.

    Cordialement, Huub
