    Hi,
Can someone please explain how LOS will generate in SDH and which bytes are responsible for LOS.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hello again Sunil,

Can someone please explain how LOS will generate in SDH and
which bytes are responsible for LOS.

There is LOS on electrical signals (ES termination function)
the signal is too weak to detect transitions, so the clock
cannot be recovered. Depending on the technology used for the
clock recovery circuit LOS can be detected.
there is too much noise affecting the clock recovery, this will
cause bit-errors causing loss of frame alignment (LFA) even before
    the LOS is detected.
The same for LOS on optical signals (OS termination function).

The standard you should read is ITU-T G.707 (free to download).

    Kind regards, Huub.
