• MI parameters in SDH

From e.bagherzadeh72@gmail.com@21:1/5 to All on Tue Oct 2 05:23:46 2018
    Hi,
I have a question. In G.806 is introduced some MI parameters which they have effects on producing or reporting fault causes like:
    - Termination point mode control or Port mode control
    - MI_SSF_Reported
    - MI_AIS_Reported
    - MI_RDI_Reported
    ...
how is determined these parameters? the user configures them or for example, if the system doesn't have a slot, MI_SSF_Reported will be false?!
    Best regards,
    Elnaz

    Hello Elnaz,

    You ask:

    - Termination point mode control or Port mode control
    - MI_SSF_Reported
    - MI_AIS_Reported
    - MI_RDI_Reported
    ...
how is determined these parameters? the user configures them
or for example, if the system doesn't have a slot,
    MI_SSF_Reported will be false?!

Please look at table 7.1 in G.806,
There you can see that the above commands are SET commands.
The user has to configure them true or false.
If set "true" the associated alarm will be reported,
if set to "false" the alarm will not be reported.

    Kind regards, Huub.
