3R is a regenerator, equipment generally located between NEs.
OADM is actually NE, but can also be PE...
I saw EOTN in a document (Ethernet OTN), but it seems too specific.
This is a technology: Ethernet over OTN, similar to EOS (Ethernet
over SDH).
