You ask:
What is VC4 Server trail and why it is necessary to create
before cross connecting vc3/vc12 circuits?
That is due to the multiplexing hierarchy in SDH.
There is a Higher Order (HO) layer with VC-4, VC-4c,
and a Lower Order layer with VC-3 and VC-12.
VC-4 are cross connected in the HO connection function
and VC-3, VC1-2 in the LO connection function.
VC-3, VC-12 have to be mapped into a VC-4 before they can be
transported in the network.
For taking management for SDH mux we used to assign Ip for
the same, how a L1/L2 device works ON IP ?
In the MPLS labelstack you could add a label for the HO
connection.
