Error receiving a buffer from RSS ol_tmsrss01 - shutting down

hello
we receive this alarm periodically and it has always recovered quickly and reconnected with no issue. However, today we received the subject error above plus
"RSS ol_tmsrss01 is not acknowledging log transmission" and then found records were not reflecting current prod data and had not been for some hours.
an instance bounce of RSS "cured" the issue for now but was wanting to see if others had run into this issue before
we are on version 11.7.FC6 on AIX 6.1 and also running an HDR secondary.
The primary and secondary live on a 770 series box in a prod environment while the rss lives on a 740 in a QA arena.
