    SUMMARY
    We currently have a full time opening for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in our Vista, California headquarters.

    The ideal candidate will be a mechanical engineer with experience designing and testing plastic parts and assemblies. This engineer will work as a key member within an engineering team to develop and improve global products (pumps, filters, automatic
    pool cleaners) for the swimming pool industry.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • To be a key project leader in the development of new technologies and products.
    • Design plastic parts and assemblies using SolidWorks CAD software.
    • Analyze part designs using sound engineering principles, FEA software and prototypes.
    • Participate in product development programs.
    • Work with suppliers to ensure project goals are met and to resolve any engineering issues that arise.
    • Oversee activities of testing personnel and designers to meet project goals.
    • Develop and document test plans and Engineering Changes.

    EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
    • 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience focusing on new product development of plastic consumer products.
    • Very highly proficient mechanical design skills using SolidWorks CAD software.
    • Extensive knowledge of various types of plastics and their use in product designs.
    • Strong knowledge of plastics injection molding and tooling.
    • Ability to work independently, as a team leader and as a team member. • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proven track record of accomplished projects with increasing responsibilities.
