NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: President Joe Biden took to the social media
platform X (formerly Twitter) to go after his political opponent, former President Donald Trump, claiming that he is against Latino and immigrant communities, on Friday, March 22.

The incumbent's attack comes at a time when Trump is polling high with
Hispanic voters. According to a poll conducted by the New York Times and
Siena College between February 25 and February 28, Trump's support among
the group stood at 46% while Biden trailed at 40%.

From his personal X account, the President shared a clip where he says,
"This election is not a referendum on me, it's an election between me and
a guy named Trump. And this is a guy who, the way he talks about the
Latino community is..."
"In 2016, he called Latinos 'criminals, drug dealers, and rapists' when he
came down the escalator. Now he says 'Immigrants are poisoning the blood
of our country.' What the hell is he talking about? No, I am serious."

"We are, in fact, the reason we are as good as we are is because we are
the most diverse country in the world. No, seriously," he concludes in the clip.

Biden further wrote in his post, "Trump has no clue what the hell he's
talking about when he attacks Latino and immigrant communities. We're the
most diverse country in the world-that's what makes us strong."

Internet reacts to Joe Biden's tweet
Netizens viewed the post as Biden's effort to gain support within the
community that is siding with his opponent at present and called him out
over it, as the following tweets demonstrate.

"Then why is he winning the Latino vote now?" a user asked the incumbent
of his predecessor.

"No one is falling for this propaganda bro," jibed another.

"He's winning the Latino vote. You're ruining their future, too," wrote a third.

"What's the matter Joe are you getting worried you've lost the immigrant
vote? Immigrants who worked hard & did everything right probably don't appreciate you letting criminals jump the line," quipped a fourth.

"When has he attacked Latinos as a group. And he should attack criminal
aliens especially if they're gang members. You have lost substantial
support from Hispanics. Your blatant lies aren't being believed and this
crisis is your fault," stated a fifth.

"Biden, a perpetual liar. He will do and say anything for a second term.
It isn't raising his popularity in the polls," commented a fifth.
