If you review his remarks in context he's referring to an economic
one. If you follow what's happening in the car market, he's
    absolutely correct.

Fuck off with this "context" bullshit. That's always a weasel-word with you. Nothing was taken out of context. Trump always speaks discursively, jumping from
one topic to another with no coherent connection between them. When Trump was talking about a blood bath, he was *signaling* to his violent followers to prepare to engage in violence if he loses. It's identical to when he told the "proud boys" (and all his other violent white supremacist groups) to "stand back
and stand by." The criminal "proud boys" *understood* that to be a signal to engage in violence, and they were right: that's what Trump meant.

Trump always says what he means most of the time.

I suspect he does. I suspect we all think we do.

But that doesn't mean we can necessarily know what *he* means,
i.e. what that which he says means to *him* when he says it. People
who imagine they can know what he means simply don't understand the
plight of entirely separate conceptuality contexts - i.e. individuals
    - pretending that using the same words is the same as meaning the
    same things.

When it comes to Trump, I see a large group believing - sometimes to
the point of worshipping - everything he says, and another large
group not believing - sometimes to the point despising him and
those in the first large group - everything he says.

To me, individuals in both of those large groups are suffering a
    so-called derangement syndrome.

And, of course, the incessant re-petition of the believing and
not-believing magically re-inforces the derangement, because
it's said conceptual re-petition that constitutes an individual's
seeming re-ality. One might say that the *practice* of believing
    or not-believing *perfects* the seemingness.

And then there are the occasional few who understand he's just yet
another private conceptuality context pretending that using common words/symbols constitutes working with the same meaning, and that
we'd be better off working on freeing ourselves from being prone
to derangement than participating in online evidence-of-derangement contests....

If you review his remarks in context he's referring to an economic
one.  If you follow what's happening in the car market, he's
    absolutely correct.

Bullshit on top of bullshit. Here's the exact quote:

You know it's bullshit because Kremlin Girl doesn't even

If you review his remarks in context

Fuck off with this "context" bullshit.

Context is always important. The fact that you don't see this is of
    interest.

    Conservative: "That embarrassinng quote
from Trump was taken out context"

Liberal: "OK, show us the context you
    think justifies it"

    Conservative: (disappears)

Trouble with the context is, the statement stops making sense.

"Were going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes
    across the line, and
youre not going to be able to sell those cars if I get elected, Trump
    said. Now, if I
dont get elected, its going to be a bloodbath for the whole thats
    gonna be the least
of it. Its going to be a bloodbath for the country. That will be the
    least of it. But
theyre not going to sell those cars. Theyre building massive factories." <https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/2924478/social-media-captures-full-context-of-trumps-bloodbath-comment/>

    His promise is bullshit.

The voter ignorance Trump is counting on is illustrated below. On the "American Made"
vehicle index, the US makes only three of the 25 highest US content
    vehicles. Honda has
four just in the top ten. The only trucks in the top 25 are both Japanese.

Yeah the subject matter often gets ignored when he mixes in his off the
wall fascist threats about what will happen if his chronically lying
    and corrupt ass loses.

In related news, I've noticed those who struggle with context

Not surprising, I guess, given "tongue in cheek" is itself a

Probably, likely, because smarter people understood the context of the word >and didn't knowingly/intentionally use it to attack the other side.

That is exactly the point! Why do pols say such stupid stuff? Because the typical American voter is ignorant enough to buy it. Doesn't matter what party.
The difference with Trump is the desire to inflame, to stir the pot. He was notorious for setting staff members at odds with each other, then sitting back to
    enjoy the fireworks.

If Trump ever gets the opportunity to slap a 100% tariff on imported
cars I'm anxious to see the faithful explain how the drastic additional inflation of car prices that would ensue isn't his fault.

The most American car you can buy is a Honda.

The most American pickup you can buy is a Honda. #2 is a Toyota.

But low information voters don't realize that because they're too lazy to look up the
    truth.

Which cars are the most American?

Your analysis of the auto industry is fine; however, the thread is about
Trump's statement and how the media, and the left in general, has not
given the bloodbath commentary its proper context.

Sure. I watched the video of the entire paragraph. Notice his pause, repeat, and *then*
comes the incendiary word. We both know what he's trying to convey and why.

    Why not? Probably, likely, because
smarter people understood the context  of the word and didn't knowingly/intentionally use it to attack the other side.

The most American car you can buy is a Honda.

The most American pickup you can buy is a Honda.  #2 is a Toyota.

But low information voters don't realize that because they're too lazy
    to look up the
    truth.

Which cars are the most American?

Your analysis of the auto industry is fine; however, the thread is about Trump's statement and how the media, and the left in general, has not
given the bloodbath commentary its proper context.

Less incendiary, yes. Biden didn't say it was going to be a bloodbath if he
wasn't elected. Come to think of it, when did Biden promise to slap 100% >>>> tariffs on imports, Chinese or otherwise?

Or Sheldon Whitehouse, Joe Courtney, Don Lemon, Rachel Maddow, Steve >>>>>Kornacki, Neil Cavuto, Van Jones, Ali Velshi, Erin Burnett, Jake Tapper, Joy

When did any of them promise a 100% tariff on imports in order to avoid an >>>> economic "bloodbath"?

I don't recall a similar outcry. Why not?

Because those people didn't utter the sheer stupidity and hate mongering that
    Trump did.

Probably, likely, because smarter people understood the context of the word
and didn't knowingly/intentionally use it to attack the other side.

That is exactly the point! Why do pols say such stupid stuff? Because the
typical American voter is ignorant enough to buy it. Doesn't matter what party.
The difference with Trump is the desire to inflame, to stir the pot. He was
notorious for setting staff members at odds with each other, then sitting back to
    enjoy the fireworks.

If Trump ever gets the opportunity to slap a 100% tariff on imported
cars I'm anxious to see the faithful explain how the drastic additional >>>inflation of car prices that would ensue isn't his fault.

And suddenly the left would be terrified and outraged by inflation
while they've ignored and excused Biden's outrageous inflation.

Dems in 2021: The economy is fine!
Dems in 2022: The economy is fine!
Dems in 2023: The economy is fine!
Dems in 2024: We inheritabed a bad economy from President Trump!

Change that to the economy is on fire to fully capture the liberals
    delusions and you're spot on.

which is funny, considering how many years he's been practicing.

Exactly, a bloodbath makes perfect sense because it might give the fat
