After years of claiming mail-in voting is rife
with fraud, some Republicans – including former
President Donald Trump – are working to reverse
course ahead of next year’s consequential
    presidential and congressional elections.

In a victory for the extremist wing of the
Republican Party, it looks like Donald Trump’s
hand-picked leadership team at the Republican
National Committee has officially scrapped the
GOP’s plan to encourage early voting this
election cycle. Instead, the party is taking
steps to prioritize legal challenges to voting
    systems ahead of November.

As part of the layoffs and budget cuts carried
out this week by the newly installed leadership
team, they are shuttering a program dedicated
to mail-in voting, according to The Washington
    Post.

The Republiscums/QAnon believe that voter suppression is the only way they can win, and they're probably right about that. What they are conceding is a virtually dead-certain inability to win in fair elections.

    05/03/23 https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/3985519-texas-bill-allows-sos- to-overturn-elections/

I've instructed you on this already. You are misrepresenting it. It does not empower the secretary of state simply to set aside the election result and declare the loser to be the winner. It also very narrowly defines a specific circumstance in which the secretary of state can act under the proposed law *at all. You clearly didn't read your own citation.

Texas lawmakers advanced a bill this week that would allow the secretary of
state, who is handpicked by the governor, to overturn the results of an
election in the state’s largest county and order a new one.

The bill targets Harris County, the largest in the state and the third-
largest in the U.S., which includes Houston and has a population of around
4.7 million. It would allow the secretary of state, currently Republican Jane
Nelson, to order a new election in the county if 2 percent or more of the
polling locations ran out of ballot paper for more than an hour.

That's a very precisely defined circumstance, although one can easily foresee that Republiscums/QAnon would *cause* voting locations to run out of paper ballots.

But the implication of what you said is false. You're as bad as Katie Britt. You're suggesting something that simply is not so: that the proposed law would allow the secretary of state not only to discard the election result, but also arbitrarily to pick the election winner.
