'To comply with the Florida Board of Governors' regulation
9.016 on prohibited expenditures, the University of Florida
has closed the Office of the Chief Diversity Officer,' Provost
J. Scott Angle and other school officials wrote.
'[The university has also] eliminated DEI positions and
administrative appointments, and halted DEI-focused contracts
with outside vendors.'
. . .
DeSantis DOES get good results ...
Maybe he was overlooked as a candidate a bit too soon ?
Anyway, looks like this race-hatred institution within
the university is GONE.
Also looks like no private donors were the least
interested in picking up the departments bill ...

DeSantis has many good traits. He just needs more experience and a
little polish to his campaigning. He has a good future in politics.

DeSantis is your typical high
school bully, picking on those who
can't fight back, in this case gays
and blacks and liberals in a state
where they are a marginalized minority.
When it comes to the REAL enemies of
Florida - insurance companies, Big
Pharma, shady condo builders, predatory
lending, "reverse mortgages" - he rolls
over like the lapdog that he is.

He needs a "speech coach" - add some 'strength' and dramatic
flair, make him a tad more Reaganesque.
His politics are mostly good however ... though he went too
far on the abortion thing.

I am in no way a fan of DeSantis or nearly anything he represents, but
firing the DEI staff is the right thing to do. DEI taken together is bullshit.
"Diversity" is not a value, and "equity" merely means that
everyone deserves the same outcome in life, which *is* a bullshit and
wrong value. The only part of DEI that has any (limited) value is
inclusion. If a company has a diverse workforce, or a university has a diverse student body, the administration needs to make effort to try
to ensure that everyone is, and feels like they are, included.

If you look at what DeSantis DOES, he's no milquetoast.
He's taken on the wokie tide head on, and WON. He's
taken on the Feds/POTUS and WON. He also came up with
the idea of shipping 'immigrants' to those hypocritical
"sanctuaries". He's put his state in the black while so
many others are drowning. He really has some big balls.
BUT, he doesn't 'come across' that way.

He doesn't score points in Florida for spending our taxpayer dollars shipping Texas'
wetbacks to the Hamptons.
Swill
