Sheepish Elizabeth Warren Caught Flying on Private Jet After Railing Against Gas-Guzzling Republicans

SENATOR Elizabeth Warren has been branded a hypocrite after she was filmed getting off a private plane - despite railing against gas-guzzling rivals.

The presidential hopeful and environmental advocate touched down in Des Moines
on Monday ahead of the crucial Iowa caucus.

Footage obtained by Fox News showed the Massachusetts Democrat stepping off the
luxury jet with several of her campaign team in tow.

At one point in the video, she appears to wander behind a staffer sparking accusations she was trying to hide from the camera.

Several Trump supporters were quick to claim she ducked out of sight because she felt sheepish about her elite mode of transport.

However, others say the politician hadn't even noticed she was being filmed and
only disappeared from view by chance.

Many Twitter users were quick to point out Warren is a high-profile advocate for climate change who should practice what she preaches.

"Hey @SenWarren why you trying to hide behind your staffer after you just got off that gas-guzzling private plane? Guess climate change is a hoax?" one tweeted.

Another added: "Here's Green New Deal advocate Elizabeth Warren deboarding her
    private jet.

"When she realizes she's being filmed, she tries hiding behind her staffer."

How bad are private jets for the environment? According to the US Energy Information Administration, jet fuel produces 9.57kg of CO2 per gallon burnt. So a Boeing 737 will burn somewhere in the region of 750 gallons an hour. Over
the course of a three-hour flight, it will therefore burn 2,250 gallons of fuel, producing 21,533kg of CO2. The plane can hold around 200 passengers, making the amount of CO2 produced per passenger around 108kg. The Cessna Citation XLS - similar to the jet Warren flew on - is one of the most popular private jets on the market. It burns around 210 gallons of fuel per hour, producing around 6,030kg of CO2 in a three-hour flight. Typically the jet is configured to seat between six and eight passengers. If there were seven on board, the average amount of CO2 per person would be 860kg.

Only last week Warren tweeted about a Trump official using taxpayer's money flying on private planes.

However, new figures show Warren, 70, spent about $721,000 of her campaign budget doing the same.

On her official website, she talks about her fight for a 'Green New Deal' and the need to tackle climate change.

She pledges the environmental issue will be a "top priority" if she ever gets into the White House.

    Another liberal elite hypocrite surfaces.
When will the public wake up to what is going on in the USA?
