An influential think tank close to Donald Trump is developing
plans to infuse Christian nationalist ideas in his administration
should the former president return to power, according to
documents obtained by POLITICO.
Spearheading the effort is Russell Vought, who served as
Trump’s director of the Office of Management and Budget
during his first term and has remained close to him. Vought,
who is frequently cited as a potential chief of staff in a
second Trump White House, is president of The Center for
Renewing America think tank, a leading group in a conservative
consortium preparing for a second Trump term.
Christian nationalists in America believe that the country
was founded as a Christian nation and that Christian values
should be prioritized throughout government and public life.
. . .
Ummmmm ... will I have to vote for Joe now ?
The 1st amendment clearly demonstrates that the State was
supposed to stay out of peoples religions - that was the
intent when the doc was writ, not any "Christo-Fascist
Nation" nonsense.
The ideas embodied in the constitution and BOR were drawn
from diverse historical sources, and some were decidedly
'pagan'. Note also that the Founders included deists and
even atheists in their ranks.
Go ahead, be a Christian - or Buddhist or Moslem or
Zoroasterian or whatever. The State should give you
no special favor, or shit, based just on that. If you
get especially un-civil, even if using religion as
justification, THEN you'll get shit.
Even in the late 1700s, the Founders knew the USA would
be a diverse nation - many religions and subcultures
coming from all over the globe. That was the perfect time -
and they struck when the proverbial iron was hot to
encode this realization in the top laws of their shiny
new nation.
Yes, some laws/regs DO reflect a sort of "christian
sensibility" - esp in relation to fairness/justice/
accountability. Not unexpected, there ARE a lot of
Christians in the USA and that thinking finds its way
into the rules by osmosis. However, if a proposed
law/reg is TOO "Christian", to the point of screwing
everyone else, there will be loud objections and
eventual constitutional rejection.
So, Mr. Trump, listen politely to these people but
DO realize they're selling a sort of 2nd-rate jihad -
not 'virtue', not anything that's a true reflection
of the constitution and Founders.
Most of illegals coming in are Christians. Who do you think Mexicans and >Nigerians are, Buddhists? And current toothless official oChristians
have no issues with niggers, faggots, troons, olove is love , and all
the other shit. Their onationalism is the kind of nationalism where >Jamal is fucking your daughter while your son is dying from OD because he >can Tt find job because Pedro is doing it for $7.15 per hour. If you
want that shit, go ahead with oChristian Nationalism .
Given the choice between Biden, Trump, and all others, I will go for
Trump. He has a vision and a plan. Biden is a puppet at best.
