'Get the f*ck off the Supreme Court!' Comedian John Oliver offers
to pay Justice Clarence Thomas $1M a year and hand him a $2.4M
motor coach if he resigns from SCOTUS

Comedian John Oliver made the offer on his HBO show Last
    Week Tonight

    . . .

Ummmmmm ... he's offering a federal judge cash and
cash-equivalents in an attempt to alter the judicial
      process ........

I think that qualifies as attempted BRIBERY

No, you fucking moron. Bribery is paying someone to *use* his position to do something *inappropriate or illegal* for the briber or for someone the briber wishes to help. *Both* elements have to be met: *using* the position, and doing something *illegal or inappropriate*. Thomas vacating his seat is not *using* his position. It's *abandoning* the position, and Thomas resigning is neither *inappropriate nor illegal*, so Oliver offering Thomas the money is not bribery.

    You're so fucking stupid.

I think that qualifies as attempted BRIBERY - which,
as best I recall, is ILLEGAL.

Thomas should sign the arrest warrant himself.

He's going to accept it because he's never seen a bribe he didn't like.
