Speaking about a special counsel report that cleared him from criminal charges in his handling of classified documents, President Biden expressed anger that the report said that he forgot when his son Beau died. "How in
the hell dare he raise that?" Biden said of a question posed to him during
an interview during the investigation. In a contentious exchange with reporters, Biden was asked if his memory has gotten worse. "My memory is fine," he insisted.

JOE BIDEN: I know there's some attention paid to some language in the
report about my recollection of events. There's even reference that I
don't remember when my son died. How in the hell dare he raise that?
Frankly, when I was asked the question, I thought to myself, wasn't any of their damn business. Let me tell you something. Some of you have
commented. I wear since the day he died, every single day, the rosary he
got from our lady of--
Every Memorial Day, we hold a service remembering him attended by friends
and family and the people who loved him. I don't need anyone, I don't need anyone to remind me when he passed away of passed away. Simple truth is I
sat for five hours over two days of events going back 40 years. At the
same time, I was managing an international crisis. Their task was to make
a decision about whether to move forward with charges in this case. That's their decision to make. That's the council's decision to make. That's his job. And they decided not to move forward. For any extraneous commentary
they don't know what they're talking about. It has no place in this
report. The bottom line is the matter is now closed. I'm going to continue what I've always focused on, my job of being president of the United
States of America. Thank you and I'll take some questions.
- President Biden, something the special counsel said in his report is
that one of the reasons you were not charged is because, in his
description, you are a well meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.
JOE BIDEN: I'm well meaning, and I'm an elderly man, and I know what the
hell I'm doing. I've been president and I put this country back on its
feet. I don't need his recommendation. It's totally out of--
- How bad is your memory and can you continue as president?
JOE BIDEN: My memory is so bad, I let you speak. That's the--
- Do you feel your memory has gotten worse, Mr President?
JOE BIDEN: My memory is not-- my memory is fine. My memory-- take a look
at what I've done since I've become president. None of you thought I could pass any of the things I got passed. How did that happen? You know, I
guess I just forgot what was going on.

about the current Republican-controlled House of Representatives, on
track to be one of the most unproductive in modern history.

Americans -- at least rational ones -- expect Congress to work on their behalf and work together to solve problems.
Republicans can't even get their shit together within their own party, particularly since Trump took them over.

getting passed.
? He signed off on them didn't he.
If you want a good example of dysfunction and ineffectiveness
how about the current Republican-controlled House of
Representatives, on track to be one of the most unproductive in >>>>>>>> modern history.
Good. It is far better to do nothing than do the wrong thing just >>>>>>> to look busy.
Americans -- at least rational ones -- expect Congress to work on
their behalf and work together to solve problems.
And sometimes the best solution is to do nothing.. or at least keep
others from doing the wrong thing.
More laws are NOT always the answer.
Your party cares about nothing these days except grabbing more power
for power's sake, a once proud party that actually stood for
something.
You mean like keeping a senile octogenarian in office rather than
asking him to step down?
[crickets]
Republicans can't even get their shit together within their own
party, particularly since Trump took them over.
Good. Shows that Republicans accept different views and invite
discussion of those views.
Well I'm afraid the general public doesn't see it like that,...
Don't believe everything you see on MSNBC.
pffft. As if your own Fox Republican News is the soul of veracity.
They even admit they're "for entertainment purposes only" whenever
someone sues them.
<sigh> Another pinkie who can't distinguish commentary from reporting.
... for example when it takes your party 15 votes just to elect a
new Speaker.
Or when you refuse to pass an immigration bill with more concessions
to your side than you'll EVER get in the future,...
A bad bill is worse than no bill. As to the future,....
Keep telling yourself that (because Trump told you that), you'll be
punished accordingly by the voters this fall.
Who's gonna be at the top of your ticket then?
And we STILL won't have immigration reform then as long as Republicans
are in control of at least one branch of government.
We won't have amnesty, at any rate.
We don't need immigration reform to stop the flood, just a president with
a pair.
... just to have an issue for the upcoming election (and on the
Orange Pooh-Bah's direct orders).
BTW your assertion that Republicans "accept different views" as
opposed to the other side is preposterous on its own.
Scout made no such comparison.
He most certainly did.
How so?

You guys have been telling us for three years that we're about to go
into a recession. Two years ago you went into high gear to INSIST
there would be recession in an election year.
When did I do that? I don't recall insisting a recession was
imminent.
I didn't say YOU. I said "you guys" meaning Republicans....
... Don't lie again and tell me you didn't notice all the posts by rightists and articles by right wing hacks complaining Biden's economy is about to crash?
Why a 2022 Recession Would Be Unlike Any Other: WSJ channel <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUKEYDep8as>
But there was no recession that year.

"Remember that looming recession? Not happening, some economists say" https://www.cbsnews.com/news/is-there-a-recession-coming-2023/
Where is our recession? You've been promising one for three years
now and I want to know where it is.
Again, when did I promise a recession?
I was speaking rhetorically. I guess it was too much to expect your
language skills were sharp enough to catch that.
Three years ago the government was giving money to anyone and everyone, so >> predicting rampant inflation was a no-brainer.
But we aren't talking about inflation are we? We're talking about
recession.
But if you want to change the subject . . .
It's nice to see a Trump fan ...
... admit the inflation was due to Covid stimulus, not by any economy destroying policies of the Biden White House.
... the Democrats are signaling that they've heard the electorate
and are trying to figure out who to nominate this summer....
So THAT'S why all this Democrat talk of "civil war."
I haven't heard that, but then, I don't pay that much attention to
Democrats. I've only heard that the whispers are getting louder.
I only hear Republicans talking about that and they're clearly
fighting one out in Congress. The Dems otoh, are quietly and
civilly discussing their options and I'm sure they will act when
they have consensus with minimum spillage of blood.
Uh-huh. We'll see when their convention names their candidates. Will
it be the doddering octogenarian, the one with the black pussy, the
governor who turned a $97 billion record surplus into a $73 billion
deficit in under two years, the governor who sent seniors to die in
nursing homes and was accused by his AG of sexually harassing eleven
women, or some other luminary?
Any of those would be a better choice than Trump.
The GOP, otoh, is so busy slashing at each others with swords, the
floor is knee deep in offal.
... Meanwhile Trump is getting more and more obvious in his
attempts to become, effectively, a king.
You guys crack me up.
I don't think it's funny that the GOP is supporting a man who wants
to be king.
You guys crack me up.Our current Emperor has no clothes.
Clearly. https://www.nydailynews.com/wp-content/uploads/migration/2016/08/18/N5PLZVX7O2ECHVCIHSI4RPCYYY.jpg?w=620
I don't think it's funny that the GOP has set new standards for
hypocrisy.
You guys crack me up. The pinkies set the bar too high for anyone
else to approach.
Your continued belief in the bullshit your handlers tell won't help
your disintegrating Party. There is nobody more hypocritical these
days than a Trump fan.
I don't think it's funny that the GOP has been taken over by America
haters.
You guys crack me up. Of which party is the secretary of DHS who
keeps our borders open?
He's a Democrat.
I don't think it's funny that the GOP wants to shred the
Constitution.
You guys crack me up. Of which party is the POTUS who keeps trying
to take money from high-school grads to give to college kids *after*
SCOTUS told him it's unconstitutional?
Which party's leader called for the Constitution to be terminated?
Which party's leader tried to steal an election and seize power?
Which party's leader has consistently ignored the law in both his
public and private lives?
Yeah, the nekkid one. <https://www.nydailynews.com/wp-content/uploads/migration/2016/08/18/N5PLZVX7O2ECHVCIHSI4RPCYYY.jpg?w=620.
What I think is funny is that every time Trump runs his fat mouth,
he gives quiet centrists one more reason to push D buttons this time...

13 cherry picked voters? You consider that information in any way
valid?
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
... and that every day y'all get on here swearing to god that,
"We're really gonna have a recession this time! I swear we will!
I PROMISE!
I don't know why you're obsessing about an oncoming recession.
People know the economy sucks NOW!
No. It *doesn't* suck now. The right has been busy doing their best
to make Americans think the economy is a disaster but it isn't and
the impression won't last.
Trump wants to use his daughter in law to force the Party to pay his
legal bills.
LOL! Right! Throw the whole Party under the bus.
If he implements this, the Dems will sweep everything.
