Is that part of a long-term plan to rename the State

In 2016, Chris Matthews asked Trump if he would support putting women in prison for
getting an abortion. He stumbled too long in front of an audience of mostly women before
admitting that he wouldn't charge them with murder.

Do you believe him? I suspect it more likely that he
was deciding whether to alienate himself from female
voters or upset the GOP, and after some stumbling
    considerations he chose the latter.

That's exactly what I think. I saw him change positions on abortion three times in that
town hall. Trump changing positions, even within the same speech is common. The ones
that like him will remember the position he espoused that they like and will completely
    forget anything else he said.

...and some people wonder why there's so much distrust

use, so it's no wonder that so many complain about how
the elected often don't keep their campaign promises.

Not like this. Never like this. I've seen politicians use nuance to speak differently to
different crowds, but never one who consistently answered the same question differently
each time it was asked in *one* interview.

That is a new phenomenon, indeed, and it's likey either
a result of extreme arrogance or extreme stupidity (and
I can't rule out a combination of both).

Donald Trump single-handedly (with bone spurs and all)
lowered the standard of the Presidential role in the USA
to far below a level that would have been anywhere close
to acceptable in the 1950s -- "family values," it seems,
is not something he cares about (just for starters).

You know, before Donald Trump came along, I never had to
worry about a US President bragging about certain things
that caused me to have to talk with my young children
about "grabbing cats" -- the media is partly to blame
for prepetuating that topic, but ultimately I blame the
Republican Party for accepting him despite all the many
indicators that he's really not suitable for such an
    important and [previously] prestigious role.

Unfortuantely for the USA, the role of US President has
lost a lot of respect throughout the world, and I know
many peoplle who think of it as a joke now. I suspect
that regaining that respect will take many decades, and
that it may never be fully recoverable.

Couldn't have said it better myself. We might as well have Zaphod Beeblebrox for

    A two-headed politician instead of a two-faced

At least Zaphod Beeblebrox would constantly be
light years ahead of Donald Trump, and at every

We might as well have Zaphod Beeblebrox for
    President.

    A two-headed politician instead of a two-faced
one? That might be a refreshing change...

At least Zaphod Beeblebrox would constantly be
light years ahead of Donald Trump, and at every
    turn.

    "Forty two"

    ...a calculated answer, indeed!

Couldn't have said it better myself. We might as well have Zaphod
    Beeblebrox for President.

    A two-headed politician instead of a two-faced
one? That might be a refreshing change...

At least Zaphod Beeblebrox would constantly be
light years ahead of Donald Trump, and at every
    turn.

    "Forty two"

    ...a calculated answer, indeed!

    What is 6x9 radix 13?

42 is the answer to _Life, the Universe and Everything_.

That was nicely done, without bakersdozenal (base 13)
muddying the waters with the puddle analogy! :D

Why am I seeing planets and stars in the bottom of my cup of almost but not entirely not
    tea?

Everyone should have a Nutri-Matic drinks dispenser in
    their kitchens.

Does it come standard with GPP or is that an option?

All this discussion about food reminds me of this
    wonderfully-brilliant quote of D.N.A.:

"Time is an illusion. Lunch time doubly so."
-- Douglas Noel Adams, Satirical Statistical Scientist

Marvin might not think it so wonderful though.

Side note, it was Adams who named Pink Floyd's 1994 album, "The Division Bell".

Really? That's pretty cool. (I had no idea.)
