I was going to list either Tuscaloosa again, or some other lower populated city with a higher "rate" but FAR fewer murders, but I didn't FEEL like it, so fuck off... "rate" has NOTHING to do with how safe it would be in ANYWHERE, USA.

"Rate" IS bullshit, when it comes to safety. The websites that list the "Top 20 Deadliest" or "Top 20 Safest" use that rate crap.
They never tell you the disparities in population. A city of Chicago's size is NOT supposed to have a "proportional" number of murders, because NEIGHBORHOODS are VASTLY different in makeup.
Chicago has a population 2,476,388. Does that mean Chicago is SUPPOSED to have 100 times the murder "rate" as a town as a town of 24,763?
No.
The demographics will be too diverse to compare, so stop saying Chicago is safer than my hometown, JUST because the "rate" is lower.

If you were to walk down a street in Chicago, in a neighborhood that was rated as the safest IN Chicago, but still IN the city limits, is it JUST as safe, or JUST as dangerous as any other neighborhood, because they're both IN Chicago?
No. So, that rate bullshit, is just that. You can't deem whole cities like Chicago "safer" than a city like Tuscaloosa, because that rate shit doesn't take into account how OFTEN people get killed in either city.
Just because Tuscaloosa has a higher murder rate, doesn't mean murders happen more often. A higher per capita murder rate does NOT make murders happens MORE often... they just occur more per capita.
THAT'S not "real world". Do the rate by time.
