Rudy Giuliani, a lawyer and top adviser to President Donald Trump, is
calling Republican lawmakers urging them to delay the electoral vote count
by at least one day to allow the president and his team to present more evidence of alleged election fraud. Giuliani was making calls this
evening, as late as an hour before Congress reconvened, in a desperate
attempt to block the final count of Electoral College votes.

At approximately 7 p.m., Giuliani called newly sworn-in Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville, a staunch Trump ally, imploring him to stall the process. “I
want to discuss with you how they're trying to rush this hearing and how
we need you, our Republican friends, to try to just slow it down so we can
get these legislatures to get more information to you,” Giuliani said in a voicemail. “And I know they're reconvening at 8 tonight, but it ... the
only strategy we can follow is to object to numerous states and raise
issues so that we get ourselves into tomorrow—ideally until the end of tomorrow. I know McConnell is doing everything he can to rush it, which is
kind of a kick in the head because it's one thing to oppose us, it's
another thing not to give us a fair opportunity to contest it.”

Giuliani tells Tuberville that McConnell wants to narrow the objections to
just three states and explains that the Trump team wants to object to 10.
“So if you could object to every state and, along with a congressman, get
a hearing for every state, I know we would delay you a lot, but it would
give us the opportunity to get the legislators who are very, very close to pulling their vote, particularly after what McConnell did today.”

The problem for Giuliani? He left his message on the voicemail of another senator, who shared it with The Dispatch.

The claim: Votes were switched from Trump to Biden at the U.S. Embassy

At 3:41 a.m. on Jan. 7, Vice President Mike Pence confirmed that President-elect
Joe Biden defeated President Donald Trump — an act that marked the
    formal end

Nonetheless, some internet users have continued to levy baseless claims
    about
electoral fraud. This week, there were multiple videos posted to
    Facebook that
alleged the vote count was changed in Rome.

Pages like Conversation Controversy and Trump Train News Media shared a 52-minute video in which Maria Strollo Zack explains the theory, dubbed "ItalyGate."

"The theft of the election was orchestrated in the Rome Embassy, on the

"The U.S. elections were changed, the results were changed in those five
    or six
key states, then all of those voting machines were hooked up to the
    internet," he
said. "The internet then was used to download that information to these
    famous
    servers in Germany."

"So from there, those were uploaded and sent to Rome, and this is where this took place," he continued. "Once they created all the new data and
    manipulated
all the data that was there, they sent these new numbers back up through
    this
military satellite (...) and back down to all the machines here in the
    United States

Voicemails and text messages to GOP county supervisors reveal
    behind-the-scenes
    campaign.

The day after President Donald Trump pressured Georgia's top elections
    official to
"find 11,780 votes" to overturn Trump's defeat in the presidential
    election, the White
House placed a late-night call to one of the key officials overseeing
    Maricopa County's
election, where Trump had also suffered a narrow but historic loss.

It was Trump's second call in four days to the Maricopa County Board's then-chairman,
Clint Hickman. The board runs county elections.

HThose two Trump calls were the culmination of an intense pressure
    campaign by
Trump and his allies to halt or reverse the county election results,
    according to voice
mails and text messages for Maricopa County supervisors that were
    obtained by
12 News under a public records request.

A new book reports that former President Donald Trump asked

    the 2020 election.

In an excerpt from the soon-to-be-released Betrayal by ABC
News's Jonathan Karl, which was shared on Sunday's edition
of This Week, the former president was said to be
"intrigued" by the theory - which was presented to him by
Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark, who Trump wanted

County officials have outright denied the claims of voter fraud. They point
out that both Republicans and Democrats were involved in counting Pima County’s ballots multiple times and the results were certified by officials representing both parties in the state.

“Pima County conducted a free, fair, secure, and accurate election. The results were publicly audited via hand count by the County’s Republican and Democratic parties, and the results were certified by the Pima County Board

New audio files reportedly capture a member of Michigan’s Republican
    Party claiming
that the former president’s campaign directed party members to help
    overturn the
    results of the 2020 election.

Meshawn Maddock, the co-chair of the Michigan Republican Party, was one
    of the 16

    https://www.newsweek.com/michigan-trump-supporter-bound-court-charged-attempt-tamper-voting-machine-1674238

Newly released legal documents give details of a Michigan woman, apparently fueled by former President Donald Trump's false claims of a "stolen" 2020 presidential election, who is charged in the attempted tampering of a voting machine.

In January 2021, Jackson allegedly falsely claimed to be member of the nonexistent
"Election Integrity Commission" to gain access to a voting machine owned
    by the
small Cross Village Township community. Township Clerk Diane Keller told the News-Review that she met with a township trustee at the community center on January 14, 2021, and discovered what looked to be a break-in.

A door where voting equipment was stored was ajar and a tabulating machine appeared to be missing screws, according to Keller. The trustee who met
    her, Howard
Wood, was accompanied by two men wearing bulletproof vests, including
    one who
was armed. Wood explained that the men were there to conduct a "forensic
    audit"
of the voting equipment, although no audit had been officially planned
    and he did
not have the authority to arrange one.

Jackson told the deputy that "there was data on a satellite owned by
    Vatican City
which would prove voter fraud had occurred in the United States,"
    according to the
affidavit. The bizarre claim may be related to the "Italygate"
    conspiracy theory,
which was popular among adherents to the pro-Trump QAnon conspiracy
    theory at
the time and falsely claimed that an Italian security firm helped rig
    the 2020 election
to secure President Joe Biden's victory.

Sidney Powell Finally Admits That ‘Perhaps’ the Kraken Is Not Real
    Feb 9

In the weeks and months after the November 2020 election, Sidney Powell
led former President Trump’s legal campaign to overturn the election,
proudly proclaiming that her “Kraken” lawsuits, which were filled with lies and conspiracies drawn straight from the QAnon message boards, would see
    Trump emerge victorious.

Now, facing disbarment and several billion-dollar lawsuits, Powell is
ready to admit that “perhaps” her claims were simply not true.

Back in August, District Court Judge Linda Parker eviscerated Powell and
her fellow Krakenites, saying “this lawsuit represents a historic and profound abuse of the judicial process. It is one thing to take
on the charge of vindicating rights associated with an allegedly
fraudulent election. It is another to take on the charge of deceiving
a federal court and the American people into believing that rights
were infringed, without regard to whether any laws or rights were in
fact violated. This is what happened here.”

    https://chicago.suntimes.com/columnists/2021/3/25/22350378/sidney-powell-admits-lie-mona-charen
Sidney Powell admits it was all a lie

But Powell takes it to another level. She next argues that the very outlandishness of
her false statements is a defense. Sure, her reply acknowledges, Powell
    had said,
“Democrats were attempting to steal the election and had developed a
    computer
system to alter votes electronically.” But “no reasonable person would conclude
that the statements were truly statements of fact.”

So, that’s it. The great lie that has poisoned our politics and inspired
    an attack on
the Capitol and bids to become the incubus of future extremism and
    violence was
such absurd bilge that “no reasonable person would believe it.”

    https://thehill.com/homenews/house/599416-mo-brooks-says-trump-asked-him-to-rescind-the-2020-election

Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) on Wednesday issued a blistering response to
    former President
Trump's decision to unendorse him in the Alabama Senate race, accusing
    Trump of asking
him to remove President Biden from the White House following the 2020
    election despite
    his protests.

The statement from Brooks, a Trump ally that spoke at his rally on Jan.
    6 and was involved
in efforts to block the certification of election results that day,
    seems to suggest that Trump
asked for the lawmaker’s involvement in unwinding Biden’s victory even after the attack on
    the Capitol.

"President Trump asked me to rescind the 2020 elections, immediately
    remove Joe Biden
from the White House, immediately put President Trump back in the White
    House, and hold
a new special election for the presidency," Brooks said in a statement.
    "As a lawyer, I’ve
repeatedly advised President Trump that January 6 was the final election contest verdict and
neither the U.S. Constitution nor the U.S. Code permit what President
    Trump asks. Period."

Among the records that Donald Trump’s lawyers tried to shield from Jan. 6 investigators are a draft executive order that would have directed the
    defense
secretary to seize voting machines and a document titled “Remarks on
    National
    Healing.”

It’s not clear who wrote either document. But the draft executive order
    is dated
Dec. 16, 2020, and is consistent with proposals that lawyer Sidney
    Powell made
to the then-president. On Dec. 18, 2020, Powell, former Trump national
    security
adviser Michael Flynn, former Trump administration lawyer Emily Newman, and former Overstock.com CEO Patrick Byrne met with Trump in the Oval Office.

In that meeting, Powell urged Trump to seize voting machines and to
    appoint her
as a special counsel to investigate the election, according to Axios.

    https://www.politico.com/news/2022/05/10/eastman-emails-pennsylvania-legislators-biden-00031668

Attorney John Eastman urged Republican legislators in Pennsylvania to retabulate
the state’s popular vote — and throw out tens of thousands of absentee ballots —
in order to show Donald Trump with a lead, according to newly unearthed
    emails
sent in December 2020, as Trump pressured GOP lawmakers to subvert his
    defeat.

This recalculation, he posited in an exchange with one GOP state
    lawmaker, “would
help provide some cover” for Republicans to replace Joe Biden’s electors from the
state with a slate of pro-Trump electors, part of a last-ditch bid to
    overturn the
    election results.

Per the exchange, Eastman suggested that GOP legislators could simply
    cite their
concerns with Pennsylvania’s absentee ballot procedures and then use historical
data to “discount each candidates’ totals by a prorated amount based on the absentee percentage those candidates otherwise received.”

A former Houston Police Department Captain was arrested and charged for
    running
a man off the road and pointing a gun at his head in an attempt to prove
    claims of a
massive voter fraud scheme in Harris County, according to a news release
    from the
    Harris County's DA's office.

Mark Anthony Aguirre, 63, was arrested by Houston police Tuesday and
    charged with
aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony
    punishable by up
    to 20 years in prison.

"He crossed the line from dirty politics to commission of a violent
    crime, and we are
lucky no one was killed," Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said.
    "His alleged
investigation was backward from the start - first alleging a crime had
    occurred and
then trying to prove it happened."

According to court documents, Aguirre told police that he was part of a
    group of private
citizens called the "Liberty Center," who were conducting a civilian investigation into the
    alleged ballot scheme.

According to Aguirre, he had been conducting surveillance for four days
    on a man who
was allegedly the mastermind of a giant voter fraud scheme. Aguirre told authorities
the man was hiding 750,000 fraudulent ballots in a truck he was driving.

Instead, the victim turned out to be an innocent air conditioner
    repairman, court
    documents said.

According to court documents, there were no ballots in the truck. The
    truck was filled
with air conditioning parts and tools.

Two armed Virginia men who were arrested Thursday outside the Philadelphia Convention Center may have believed fake ballots were being counted
    there, Philadelphia
District Attorney's Office spokeswoman Jane Roh told CNN.

"According to our information at this very early stage of investigation,
    it appears these
individuals were operating under the belief that 'fake ballots' are
    being counted at the
Convention Center -- a completely unsupported claim -- and that belief
    may have been
what drew their attention to Philadelphia." Roh told CNN in an emailed statement.

CNN affiliate KYW had earlier reported that the men were "coming to
    deliver a truck
full of fake ballots" to the city, citing prosecutors.

Fake electors try to deliver Arizona's 11 votes for Trump

In another sign of the lingering unrest over President Donald Trump's
election loss, an Arizona group sent the National Archives in Washington,
D.C., notarized documents last week intended to deliver, wrongly, the
state's 11 electoral votes for him.

Copies of the documents obtained by The Arizona Republic show a group that claimed to represent the "sovereign citizens of the Great State of
Arizona" submitted signed papers casting votes for what they want: a
second term for Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.

Mesa resident Lori Osiecki, 62, helped created a facsimile of the
"certificate of ascertainment" that is submitted to formally cast each
state's electoral votes as part of an effort to prevent what she views as
the fraudulent theft of the election.

"We seated before the legislators here. We already turned it in. We beat
them to the game," she said.

While Osiecki's elector documents do not appear to have been taken as
genuine, they are part of a weekslong effort, led by Trump, his advisers,
and involving Arizona Republican Party officials and three members of
Arizona's GOP congressional delegation casting doubt on the legitimacy of Biden's victory in Arizona and nationally.

Two weeks after the 2020 election, a team of lawyers closely allied with

Trump held a widely watched news conference at the Republican Party’s headquarters
in Washington. At the event, they laid out a bizarre conspiracy theory

    financier
George Soros and Venezuela to steal the presidential contest from Mr. Trump.

    campaign had
already prepared an internal memo on many of the outlandish claims about the company, Dominion Voting Systems, and the separate software company, Smartmatic.
The memo had determined that those allegations were untrue.

In January 2021, Jackson allegedly falsely claimed to be member of the >nonexistent

Wood, was accompanied by two men wearing bulletproof vests, including

was armed. Wood explained that the men were there to conduct a "forensic >audit"
of the voting equipment, although no audit had been officially planned
    and he did

Jackson told the deputy that "there was data on a satellite owned by

Sidney Powell Finally Admits That Perhaps the Kraken Is Not Real
    Feb 9

In the weeks and months after the November 2020 election, Sidney Powell
led former President Trumps legal campaign to overturn the election,
proudly proclaiming that her Kraken lawsuits, which were filled with lies >and conspiracies drawn straight from the QAnon message boards, would see >Trump emerge victorious.

Now, facing disbarment and several billion-dollar lawsuits, Powell is
ready to admit that perhaps her claims were simply not true.

Back in August, District Court Judge Linda Parker eviscerated Powell and
her fellow Krakenites, saying this lawsuit represents a historic and >profound abuse of the judicial process. It is one thing to take
on the charge of vindicating rights associated with an allegedly
fraudulent election. It is another to take on the charge of deceiving
a federal court and the American people into believing that rights
were infringed, without regard to whether any laws or rights were in
fact violated. This is what happened here.

    had said,
Democrats were attempting to steal the election and had developed a
    computer
system to alter votes electronically. But no reasonable person would >conclude
that the statements were truly statements of fact.

So, thats it. The great lie that has poisoned our politics and inspired
    an attack on
the Capitol and bids to become the incubus of future extremism and
    violence was
such absurd bilge that no reasonable person would believe it.
