This is exactly what your American militia would be. A bunch of under trained, under
equipped and clueless guys to feed to the enemy's artillery and machine guns.

That might have worked in a crude tech era where a muzzle loaded musket was high tech but
today, the concept is USELESS in war.

In WWII we spent months training guys we sent abroad and nobody hit the front who wasn't
fully armed, practiced, drilled, supplied and supported.
