  • Pan Newsreader Posting Error

    Hi, anyone else get the *'bad email address'* error when attempting to post an article via NNTP server? Server works fine with another newsreader, but for some reason, cannot post through Pan. It sends up an error box saying *error: bad email address; wish to proceed?* Choose Y, and no further error messages, but article does not get to server. Email address in posting profile is
    fine. Some error internal to Pan is suspected.

    Pan has some other bug, that's been discussed a few times.

    0.146. Yep, that sounds like the bug. I don't want to go to all that trouble though. I'll just wait until .147 comes downstream and keep my fingers
    crossed. SLRN is a better newsreader anyway, but I wanted something to play with on the desktop is all. Thanks for your time.

    I had the same issue and installed the version pan_0.147 right now.

    All problems I faced since a year (!) disappeared. Istallation was
    complainig about many "not found", but finally I got it.
