• How can I lock Pan newsreader in pop os-popshop?

It's locked in synaptic, but POPshop keeps giving a update notice.

I dl/ed Pop21.04 and installed Pan w/ PopShop, but examining the options
in popshop, I don't see any function to lock a package. There is a
function to turn off updates altogether in PopShop.

Personally I prefer synaptic over other graphical managers such as
    Discover and Software Manager.

I suppose one workaround would be to turn off updates in PopShop and use synaptic 'exclusively' which has more power and flexibility.

    I had more trouble booting a live Pop 21.04 than I expected. I dl/ed
the torrent, then the .iso, then checked its hash which failed, but I
Ventoyed it and booted it anyway. The live boot's network function
worked erratically so then I used the torrent to dl the .iso again,
which stalled at 99.3%. Then I dl/ed the.iso directly, hash checked,
copied it to a Ventoy USB stick and booted it live again. This time it performed as expected.

Yeah, I stay away from those inbetweeners.

WRG to my original problem I get no updates on audacity and that was
pinned through synaptic, lust like Pan, yet Pop insist on notifying me
    on .146 version.
