• Reading my Android

From philo@21:1/5 to All on Tue Aug 31 08:30:26 2021
I am running both Mint and Ubuntu and all is working quite well except
when a try to copy files from my Android.

It's is not a problem with the ports and if I use a USB stick or
external hard drive...no problems. It's with my Android only.

The copy process is exceedingly slow and always fails if I try to copy a
    lot of data at once.

On my Win10 and Win11 installations it's a smooth process.

Are you talking about via usb cable or bluetooth?

I've read that KDEconnect works well, but it requires all kinds of
    KDE/Qt stuff.

There's also an android file transfer, but it isn't in the mint repo/s,
    but comes as a snap.

I don't use KDE Connect to copy data from my obsolete tablet which I use for pictures occasionally, The trick is to set up the
old tablet as the proper sort of device and then I just plug the
USB cable in and am able to open it in Dolphin. KDE Connect is
for the sort of synchronization of bookmarks, addresses and phone
    numbers between devices.

    bliss
