    The article attributes the popularity of the OS (at least according to
    RH) as the use of the GPL license.

    Could be, yeah. (at least it is still on v2.*, and has not changed to v3)

    looking forward to ANOTHER 30 years (as long as they fix time_t in all releases, heh heh heh)

    I think it would be "interesting" using an old distro when the rollover happens. ("Interesting" like a chinese curse.)

    Personally, I think that it another 30 years, Linux will be unrecognizable. I mean, sure, there will be servers and PCs and whatnot, but the current
    hardware of the time, whatever that ends up being, will have UI's that are almost alien to us in the 2020s.
