With Gensokyo being the place for forgotten things and text USENET
pretty much being forgotten by many people (even in Japan it seems),
don't you think the people of Gensokyo (especially the kappa) could be
using it in the future? Maybe even right now as we talk?
Imagine if ZUN somehow stumbles upon USENET and makes his next Touhou
game about it...

I think the first question that should come in mind is, what client
would they use lol

Well, that's assuming the clients themselves would be forgotten enough
too to get into Gensokyo... Thunderbird is far from forgotten (though
perhaps the Usenet function is? But then I see plenty of people here
using Thunderbird, even Takane here uses it), and I think people still
use slrn.
Did I just shoot my own thread's foot? :P
What about google groups?
Might still have a leg to stand on :)
I meant *touhou* games lol.
Also Hypnospace Outlaw is a much more internety game that you should
check out.

Now that I think about it, it probably doesn't make sense for Usenet to
come to Gensokyo without a client to use.

Nah it's just about the amanojaku deciding it would be funny if she
collected everyone's tools and brainwash them for the revolution

Very nice Englishing right there Takane Yamashiro, sounds like what
Koishi would say if she opens her third eye :P
Marisa and Takane would definitely be the ones who would use a client
that is designed for downloading binaries! Gotta smuggle those warez >:)
