You can't exaggerate how difficult it is for an English speaker to learn
Russian. It's at least 10X harder than Spanish. Maybe 20X harder. Oswald
was a high school drop-out. By that I mean he finished the last year of
junior high school, the 9th grade, and did a couple months of high school
and that's it.
Oswald did not learn Russian on his own; it was impossible.
Oswald did not undergo any instruction at a private language school
because records would exist.
Oswald must have been taught Russian by the US military.
Yet, there is no chance that he underwent such training stateside because
there are people associated with him who have testified that he underwent
no such training. Plus, it would be part of his military record if he was
put through such training.
What about in Japan? Could he secretly and without official documentation
been put through an intensive Russian program as part of espionage? That
seems the most likely possibility. However, so far, there have been no
Marines or other personnel who have come forward to report any such thing
about Oswald studying Russian, learning Russian, speaking Russian. There
is simply no observer of any of that who has come forward.
Here is a link to a page from another forum which discusses the subject
quite thoroughly. It's worth reading.

I think we have to seriously consider the possibility that a bait and
switch was pulled off, that the guy we are calling Lee Harvey Oswald was
someone else.
Keep in mind that it has no bearing our work because the Man in the
Doorway was definitely the Lee Harvey Oswald who was arrested in the Texas >> Theater, held for two days, and then summarily executed by Jack Ruby.
Still, it would be nice to know who he was. And it all centers on one
thing: How did Oswald learn to speak Russian?
Oswald was married to a Russian.
The very best way to learn any language is to have a Significant Other
whose primary language it is.
Cinque strikes (out) again.
