Well, according to a 1967 statement by Ed Gillen, who was the Assistant District Attorney for the Parish of Orleans in charge of the Juvenile Division, in July or August of 1963, Lee Harvey Oswald came into his office to inquire about what was presumably
LSD. Gillen, who apparently was something of a square, could not help Oswald, and recommended he go see the City chemist, presumably a more groovy personage. So maybe Oswald was dropping acid in 1963.

Yep. Penicillin was found among his possessions.

Your link is entertaining, but I prefer the Gillen statement with it's nuanced bureaucratic authenticity.

I think there's some drug-related questions that need to be answered.

    For example:

Did Oswald know about the CIA's MK/ULTRA program and if so, how much did he know ?

We know today that the CIA was injecting servicemen and mental patients with LSD without their knowledge after WW II.
Was Louisiana State Hospital one of those that participated in this secret CIA project ?

    Inquiring minds want to know.
