not know that much about firearms. He had a little experience with a .30 caliber rifle and thought
Oswald's rifle looked like that one. Whether Brennan or someone else described the rifle as a
.30 caliber, it is ludicrous to believe anyone could identify a rifle's caliber by looking at it from
a distance. A 6.5mm rifle is just slightly smaller than a .30 caliber. It comes in about a .26
caliber. Like the estimates of Oswald's height and weight, it falls in the category of close, but
no cigar.
