• Was the bullet that killed Lee Harvey Oswald ever recovered?

    According to Chatbot BARD:

No, the bullet that killed Lee Harvey Oswald was never recovered.

Oswald was shot and killed by Jack Ruby on November 24, 1963, while being transferred from the Dallas Police Department to the county jail. The Warren Commission, which investigated the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, concluded that the
bullet that killed Oswald was fired from the same gun that fired the bullets that killed Kennedy and Texas Governor John Connally. However, some people believe that Oswald was not the only shooter and that the bullet that killed him was fired from a
    different gun.

In 1979, the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) conducted its own investigation into the assassinations of Kennedy and Oswald. The HSCA concluded that it was "probable" that Oswald was killed by a bullet fired from Ruby's gun, but it also
said that it could not rule out the possibility that Oswald was killed by a bullet fired from a different gun.

The question of whether or not the bullet that killed Oswald was ever recovered remains a matter of debate. Some people believe that the bullet was destroyed when Ruby shot Oswald, while others believe that it was removed from Oswald's body and hidden by
the police or someone else. There is no definitive answer to this question.

    Your friend told me this:

"The Warren Commission, which was appointed by President Lyndon B. Johnson to investigate the assassination, concluded that the bullet that killed Oswald was fired from the rifle that was found in the Texas School Book Depository, where Kennedy was shot."

Oswald went through extensive surgery and it is likely the bullet would have been removed but
I don't know that for fact. The emergency surgery team had actually got him stabilized and
thought he might survive but suddenly his condition deteriorated and he died soon after.
