Roscoe was in the acoustic position and Tippit was in the Badgeman location as seen in the Moorman photo.

Notice the railroad workers didn't mention any shots from the south knoll. That is because they were in the area of confusion regarding their angle to Frank Sturgis who squeezed off two shots at JFK from the south knoll, possibly on or in the light
colored or white '55 Chevy, both misses.

Suppressors slow down the gases ("smoke") escaping the rifle barrel and thus makes those gasses more visible as smoke to observers. The design of some older model suppressors like (some packed with asbestos it seems) resulted in a smoking suppressor
for minutes after the shot(s). This is why witnesses reported seeing smoke.

The 2nd floor 411 Elm command post (possibly in Lyons And Carnahan and/or Southwest Publishing Co. area) no doubt had unobstructed views of the north knoll parking lot. Cliff Carter, Sam Giancana, Jack Ruby (until he left 411 Elm and was seen by Jean
Hill then Tom Tilson and his daughter) et alia.

Sam Holland indicated he read his testimony for accuracy, signed it, and then the Warren Commission altered it anyway.

Richard Dodd indicated the FBI altered his words in documents.
