    How to post a song somewhere anonymously?

    I wanted to post a song so that people will see it and play it, but it's satirical and makes fun of a couple people, public personalities who are
    used to criticism, and it has no lies within it, but still i want to do
    so anonymously.

    1) I used Voice Reccrder and it came up with an MP4. MP4's have
    metadata like date, artist, url, but does voice recorder or other
    recorders write any fields automatically? Esp. those that could
    identify me, like my name, my IP address or my longitude and lattitude,
    like for example, things webpages already sseem to know about me?

    What I've read is about fields/tags you can write in yourself, not
    about fields, if any, that are written by the recording software.

    Or is there some other recorder software that has advantages I
    haven't thought of. MP4 is proprietary apple, and I have windows, but
    that alone doesn't make it a bad choice, does it?

    2) Any suggestions where to post it, where people might see it and play
    it, but would keep the anonymity?. Tiktok seems right because afaict,
    it plays anything people submit, right? But this is audio only so
    TikTok would not be it. OTOH, Spotify is for real music, isn't it, not
    just home-made amateurish concoctions, right? Something in between, I
    would think.

    I tried figuring all this out with google, but I keep finding questions
    faster than answers, so I thought you folks could point me. I'd
    appreciate it.

    For safety I'd convert the MP4 to MP3 or something equivslent. Then binary edit it to see if any coordinated or other fields you don't want there csn be removed or blanked out. If you are still paranoid, have a friend post it somewhere for you.

    You could also post the words here or another forum along with the name of a familiar tune to sing it by.

    Have fun,

    A guy wants to learn how to rock climb,
    by falling off cliffs. OK.

    "Doh!"

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Di1y9joB2IU

    How do you plan to get the URL to the customer ???

    Privacy ---------------------- Well known URL
    Secret Squirrel Compelling content
    People play the selection, to its end

    As a discerning listener here, your a cappella would
    last, oh, about two seconds. A rant, does not
    necessarily make the scale of "music composition".

    You can make video, without a camera

    https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2024/02/openai-collapses-media-reality-with-sora-a-photorealistic-ai-video-generator/

    but you can't keep people interested, without
    a lot of skill in the composition. And that
    is like rock climbing.

    Multimedia is a "competition for eyeballs". Tricking
    people into listening to your rant, would they play
    to the end ? Even a professionally made hit piece,
    would last here about three seconds.

    Who knew you could do that!

    Anyway, I took a stab at Micky's question.

    1. Does MP4 have metadata?
    <https://www.google.com/search?q=does+mp4+have+metadata>
    Answer = yes

    2. Does MP3 have metadata?
    <https://www.google.com/search?q=does+mp3+have+metadata>
    Answer = yes

    3. Can you remove metadata from MP4 MP3 files?
    <https://www.google.com/search?q=can+you+remove+metadata+from+mp4+mp3+files>
    Answer = yes

    4. Can you spoof metadata from MP4 MP3 files?
    <https://www.google.com/search?q=can+you+spoof+metadata+mp3+mp4+files>
    Answer = yes

    5. Can you upload anonymously to file sharing?
    <https://www.google.com/search?q=can+you+upload+anonymously+to+file+sharing>
    Answer = yes

    6. Can you send email anonymously
    <https://www.google.com/search?q=can+you+send+email+anonymously>
    Answer = yes

    Having found the fundamental answers, now the trick is to make sure you
    don't do what BTK did when he asked his police contact if Microsoft Word documents could be traced, and the cop told him the answer = no.

    7. How did they catch the BTK killer?

    Good idea. I see there are a lot of free online converters. I noticed
    there were free online converters for pdf files and lots of files.
    Unrelated to the issues surrounding this song, am I needlessly worried
    about sending my files to someone else? Related to the issues of this
    song, am I needlessly worried?

    All my friends would crack under pressure, even mild pressure, and sell
    me out.

    Have fun,

    Thank you.

    https://superuser.com/questions/704493/ffmpeg-convert-m4a-to-mp3-without-significant-loss

    ffmpeg -i testing.m4v -b:a 192K -vn testing.mp3

    You can do it locally, with a few experiments.
    There are copies of ffmpeg.exe available, statically compiled so
    no DLLs are needed with them.

    ffprobe input.m4a # It should only have an audio track

    ffmpeg -i input.m4a -c:v copy -c:a libmp3lame -q:a 4 output.mp3 # Does not "need" -c:v copy for nonexistent video

    You play with it, until it has the bitrate you want. 320 kbit/sec is "high".

    If you lack other players, you can do

    ffplay output.mp3

    and use the master volume control on your PC, to set the level.

    *******

    The problem with online converters, is many of them "suck up" the
    content, and then they give you nothing in return.
