• Follow-up on "Sys Admin Blocked Install"

    My thanks to all who responded to my post about not being able to install a game from CD-ROM. After trying a few of the suggestions, I got the game installed by listing the files on the CD-ROM and selecting "run as administrator" for the executable. Not a super big deal, but as a retired
    dude with a fixation on Samantha Swift, I've enabled a huge time synch...

    Normally, the OS has "magical elevation" for suitably named programs.

    It is supposed to elevate "Setup.exe" as one of those special cases.

    If the installation thing had a different name than that,
    then yes, it might need manual elevation from a right-click menu.
