For months, maybe a year or more, 2 of my @outlook.com email accounts have been accumulating 70 or more junk mails every day. Lately, today and yesterday, these junk folders have been clear, similar to my other @outlook.com accounts. So, I was wondering if anyone here has been suffering from excessive junk mails only to see the junk mail folder empty over the last couple of days.

I posted 'the article' to both windows 10 and 11 to reach a larger number of possible Microsoft users in the hope of more feedback. I could have just cross posted, sure, but I copied my post from the windows 11 group and
posted it here because I use both copies of windows on different machines.

There aren't really a lot of good reasons for multi-posting.

You need to enter your correct email address and Mozilla will tell
you if your details have fallen in the hands of big-time spammers or
some company has sold your details.

A few months ago I checked one of my Hotmail accounts which was
receiving 50, 60 or even 70 junk emails a day and I found one
company which I had dealings with had either sold the details or
their network was hacked. I think they sold the details because I
wrote many bad reviews about their products on various websites and
they took it very seriously. They sent me many free gifts to silence
me but I was not having any of that. When I fall out with a company
that's the end of our relationship.

They just decided to punish me with all the crap I was receiving. I
reported them to our data protection authorities but they said there
isn't enough evidence to suggest that the company has sold the info
to 3rd parties. They did, however, confirm that they were aware of
data breach at their company but refused to go into any further
details.
