Does anyone know of a reader app that wll work on a Windows XP PC, and

I've got a good mobi reader, but the epub readers I have do not
    display properly.

As stated elsewhere in this thread, Calibre is comprehensive free epub >>management tool - which also reads most ebook formats, including epub. >>https://calibre-ebook.com/download_windows

That one says it nly works on Windows 10 or higher. I'm looking for
one that works on Windows XP.

    Other options are
    Balabolka
    http://www.cross-plus-a.com/balabolka.htm

That seems to be only text-to-speech.

    CoolReader
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/crengine/

    Now that one looks interesting!

    But unfortunately

    This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to
downloads.sourceforge.net, but we can't confirm that your connection
    is secure.

And it's not offering the opportunity to override.

    Sigil

Sigil currently provides Windows installers for x86 and x64 and will
only work on Windows 8 or newer. ThereĒs a Legacy installer thatĒs
    suitable for Windows 7.

    Adobe Digital Editions >>https://www.adobe.com/solutions/ebook/digital-editions.html

One advantage of CoolReader is it's cross platform. >>https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.coolreader

It's worthwhile to find a Windows Firefox solution for Ebooks that works.

With respect to CoolReader not showing up in Firefox http://sourceforge.net/projects/crengine/

There is probably a way to set Firefox to allow http connections.
I'll add the Windows & Firefox people who may know better.
