• W10's Start menu gets rearranged & loses most used's apps sometimes.

From Ant@21:1/5 to All on Tue Jul 11 17:34:06 2023
    Hello,

Why is it everytime I reboot my 64-bit W10 Pro PC, my Start menu
sometimes gets rearranged and "Most used" section loses apps that I use
often? It's quite annoying. I tried resetting by disabling and
reenabling my settings -> privacy -> general -> "Let Windows track app
launches to improve Start and search results", but I still don't see my
third party apps. I only see MS' default apps (Tips, Feedback Hub, Maps,
Sticky Notes, Snipping Tool, and Calculator). I rarely use them too. :(
Also, this is before today's 7/11/2023 updates.

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

"Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, 'The Lord has done great things for them.'" --Psalm 126:2. It's 7-11, MS updates, Amazon Prime, & slammy Tues. after Zing >9:36 PM-<5:30 AM. :O
Note: A fixed width font (Courier, Monospace, etc.) is required to see this signature correctly.

My W10 Pro will do that after I have used CCleaner to clean out unwanted garbage. It is in CCleaner "System" section under "Start Menu Shortcuts"
and "Desktop Shortcuts". It won't clean those out if I uncheck those two
boxes. You can figure out yourself if you use some other cleaner software.

The only cleaner software is W10's Disk Cleanup. I don't see any options that will affect Start menu?

Interesting. I updated my MS Store's apps (Phone Link, HP Smart, Mail
and Calendar, Microsoft Store, and MSN Weather) and Edge, and now my
Start menu shows my missing most recent used apps. I wonder if those
caused the issue and was fixed.
