  • What would make my connected drive icons change

    What would make my phone icon change when I plug it into my PC?

    For so long I can't remember how long, the icon has been one thing (a
    little phone) and suddenly, a couple days ago, it switched to a completely different icon for the main storage and sd card storage icons.

    Now it's a disk drive icon.

    What would make the icons change?
    And how do I change them back?

    It's kind of traditional at Microsoft to do that.

    A number of times here, the Optimize menu has listed HDD as SSD, and SSD as HDD,
    and offered to defrag an SSD or TRIM a HDD.

    And I couldn't fix that either. I just had to wait until
    central control sorted it out.

    I do not think it is a phone to explorer it is an ssd which happens to
    be enclosed in a phone.
