    Hello all
I have just changed my pc, but moved the disks (SSD with system and 2 SATA hdd with data etc) to my new machine.
I use AOMEI for backups, and have run into a problem. I had set up a schedule to backup the system disk (C:) on my old
machine but when I run the backup on the new machine I receive a 4089 error from AOMEI. The schedule worked fine
on my old machine and I have not changed it.
Setting up the schedule again by selecting System leads to the O/S partition on my C: drive being selected correctly,
but not the *System Reserved partition and my E: drive is also selected as being a system disk.

From Minitool Partition Wizard Free 12.7 the disks are:
    Disk 1 (ST1500DL003-9VT16L SATA, MBR, 1.36 tb)
E: Data, Capacity 1397.26 GB, Used 618.72 GB, Unused 778.35 GB, File System NTFS, Type Primary, Status Active & System

Disk 2 (Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500 GB SATA, MBR, 465.76 GB)
*System Reserved, Capacity 416.64 MB, Used 28.48 MB, Unused 388.21 MB,
File System NTFS, Type Primary, Status Active & Hidden
    C:, Capacity 465.35 GB, Used 157.24GB, Unused 308.11 GB,
File System NTFS, Type Primary, Status Boot

The disk setup reported is exactly the same as the disks in my old machine
with the exception of the E: drive being set as System.

Can anyone please advise me ?
    TIA

Following on, the BIOS boot order
is set to Disk1 followed by Disk 2, SSD.
Would changing the boot order fix the problem ?
I hesitate to do this without advice from someone with more knowledge than I have.
    TIA

Does the system boot at the moment? If not, try F12 on startup (or
maybe some other incantation if not a Dell system). Then you can
choose the boot device and test from there. Get past the hesitation,
it's only a nuts-and-bolts machine. You have already got the AOMEI
backups ready for recovery from any real issues. No need to be
    nervous!

    Thanks for the reply
Unfortunately I do not have the AOMEI backup because as I said the backup fails because of
the E: drive being treated as System.
I will certainly try boot from SSD and see what happens.

    Many thanks for the advice.
I changed the Bootup choice to boot from the SSD and it booted ok.
I have now changed the BIOS to boot from the SSD first and this seems to have solved the problam.

Late to the party(you figured it out)...some of these questions may still
be pertinent for down-the-road better partition managment/configuration.

    Using GPT on Disk 2?

    Disk 0 ?
    Not present?
Purposely not included in your earlier reply?

If using GPT, then Disk 1(based on your earlier report is not necessary
to be the first bootable device - its MBR)
Was Disk 1 at an earlier point in time, the booting device(before the SSD)?
