How does 250 compare with 231? You can reconcile the figures for
us to understand better.

Hello Ravi Kapoor,

You haven't told us anything about your operating system. You might
see 231 on WINDOWS machine (a standard system for most users in this
world!!!!!) but the same disk will show something else on a junk
operating system.

To give you an example, I have 128GB Flash drive (as advertised)
that shows only 116GB in Windows 11 machine but Linux Junk shows it
125GB. See this screenshot:

<a href="

alt="[img]" width="1440" height="808" border="1">

I don't use Linux Junk and have never used one but for this one, I
was just curious what the fuss is about so I launched a Live Flash
Drive to start a Junk Operating system created by a Bantu person
from South Africa. I don't know the version of this OS so don't ask
me because it is on a flash drive that is rarely used for anything
else.

Now the question is what happened to the other disk space. The
answer is (from Windows perspective) Windows uses it for indexing
files on the disk as shown in this image Please note Windows 7, 8.1,
& 10 might show a different size because indexing might be
different in those systems):

alt="[img]" width="1066" height="611" border="1">

You can see these files using z-zip. Windows won't allow you to see
these files even if you unhide the hidden files. These files are
critical so don't try to delete them otherwise your disk might be
damaged and you'll lose data.

I have removed cross-posts to spam newsgroups as users there are not
likely to be interested in windows stuff because of their low
intelligence.
