I just had my Windows XP Pro reinstalled because of years of problems
which rendered my XP a mess. During reinstalling my programs, I find
I can get into the Boot Menu (F12), but neither my keyboard nor mouse
will allow changing from the Hard Disk Boot to the ability to boot
from a CD. There is no movement of either. That means for one thing,
I cannot use a Repair Disk (Recovery) disk in the future.
The version of Win XP reinstalled was from my >original-bought-and-paid-for-CD. In other words, a legitimate XP
copy. The machine is the same one that this copy of Win 7 came with.
And it always before was set to boot from a CD.
Anyone have any idea about this?

Yes, I did try the + and - keys.
They don't do anything either.
