• Why don't I have the right to share/unshare a File on different drives

From Demhi Moss@21:1/5 to All on Wed Aug 26 13:03:54 2015
If someone could suggest a good place on line to post this question
I'll move to that area. I've been here a long time and it really
    seems to dying out.
That being said, if anyone can help me with the above problem I'd be
    most grateful.
I build the system. I have added about 6 eHD and iHDs and I keep
getting error messages saying I don't have permission to do this or
do. How do I make my computer realize I have permission to do
anything on it that I want.

    All help greatly appreciated.

You can add TakeOwn to your right-click context menu.

    http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1911-take-ownership-shortcut.html

Do *not* apply that to the top of your C: drive.
On C:, it should only be used in places like your
own Downloads folder. Many other things on the computer
have other permission schemes, and breaking them could
    have consequences later.

And there is a "alt.windows7.general" available on some
of the free USENET servers. Google has not added groups
like that to their archive, so the group cannot be
searched from Google Groups. Only crossposts that
happen to include the group, would show up.
