Microsoft is chasing Google's tail lights.
At one time, as Microsoft's Halloween document put it, open source was chasing Microsoft's tail lights.
Times have changed. Google's Chromium is open source and Microsoft is
chasing open source tail lights.

And I'm still looking for answers to my other questions.

Since several days have gone by, and I still haven't gotten my
questions answered, I thought I'd try again.

When I look at the new Edge, to me it looks much like the old Edge,
so I
thought I would ask several questions about it that are important to
me,
and I hope that someone here can provide some information about it. In >>>> no particular order:
1. Is it possible to have a menu bar?
2. Is it possible to have a new page, whether invoked from a link, from >>>> a search, or any other way, automatically open in a new tab rather than >>>> the existing one, keeping all already open tabs open?
3. Is it possible to have favorites in a sidebar, rather than a
toolbar?
With today's widescreen monitors, I think that's greatly preferable.
4. Is it possible to have a separate search bar, and not have to use
the
bar in which URLs are entered?
5. Is it possible to change the order of toolbars?
6. Is it possible to have mouse gestures? I especially want gestures
for
close tab, go to the previous page, go to the top of the page, and
go to
the bottom of the page.
7.          *          Change Furnace Filters (Every Two Months)
I want a MENU BAR too or its a no go.
8. Is it possible to have a toolbar button for Enpass, my preferred
password manager?
9. Is it possible to have a toolbar button for TinyURL or some similar >>>> program?
10. Any extensions that are particularly recommended?
Any other comments about differences between with FireFox and the new
Edge, and what makes you think either is better than the other would be >>>> greatly appreciated.
I suspect that all my "Is it possible to have..." questions have the
answer "no," and Edge will remain a "no go" for me. But I ask just in
case I missed something and I'm wrong.

Yep. That's the only way to fly...
