Ok Guys,
Just to let you know I have tried to re-create some interest
in Excalibur.
Basically I've released a prepacked "BBS in a box!"
I have included the install files *plus a zip file including some new
screens and plugins and uploaded it to some open torrent trackers to see if
it flies...
In the last 7 hours it has been downloaded 71 times....!!!
Wether people will actually setup new BBS's is yet to be seen....
We may get some new callers...new BBS's (possibly from some old ex-excal sysops) and a bit of life into our systems...
It may work.... it may not

The included text file has the following info.... I was meaning to make it better, but time was moving on....
Ever wanted to run your own Internet BBS??
Now you can with this quick Excalibur BBS setup, its all laid out with
example screens and plugins.
There is also a list of serial numbers for the first 20 or so people who use it, and others are available on the net.
To setup, just run install.exe, this installs the basic files onto your computer (use default directory c:\excal)
And use one of the free serial numbers from the list
Then extract the testBBS.zip into your c:\excal directory (this adds the
quick setup and adds screens and some example files)
Then run c:\excal\exlaunch.exe (which starts all the BBS programs in the
right sequence and you can then login to your new BBS!!
