    You cant even use your 5.00 credit when there is a not a good game in the month
    you buy games for a 10.00 voucher for sony/nintendo/microsoft

    Well, gamestop sucked 10 years ago, why should that change now if they only have a continual track of failures. I'm even surprised they may still have retail places. There was time they were shutting them like crazy.

    Sadder truth is that there is no good physical retailer for games.

    There are multiple GameStop locations in my area.

    There's also another chain called Game Crazy, and it looks like they have a location about an hour drive from me.

    I've also seen a few stores in my area that sell used vintage video games and systems from the 80s and 90s (though the prices they ask can be a little crazy sometimes).

    Considering most game you pre-order online are pre-installed a day or two ahead of time, and most store bought copies cannot be installed until after launch. If just makes more sense to just get the online copy. I can play the second it launches.

    Store version,
    Drive to store wait in line for the release to even start. Get copy Drive home begin installing. Oh look my friends that got it online are playing already.

    Yeah... the whole business has changed that the only local stores that still make sense are those focused on retro systems and geek cultures (perhaps connecting vintage games, movies, music on various physical media).

    I believe Gamestop did not get fast enough, they're disposable.
    Sad as I have huge sentiment for them from the past.

    Yeah and rebuying the games you wish you bought 15-20 years ago hurts in the pocketbook. I need to rebuy skies of arcadia and twilight princess for the gamecube.

    Yes, Yes they do. They are the biggest den of thieves outside of DC.
